If you look around Logan, you see new homes, new neighborhoods, and new businesses joining the landscape of our city. Logan is experiencing significant growth which will continue in the coming years. The Department of Community Development ensures Logan’s growth is smart, safe, and of benefit to our citizens, visitors, and businesses. The Community Development staff, in cooperation with the Planning Commission and other citizen boards, carries out the growth and development policies of the Municipal Council as expressed in the General Plan, Building Code, and Land Development Code.
Community Development Mission
Our mission is to fulfill the purposes specified in the "Guiding Documents": the General Plan, the Building Code, and the Land Development Code. We believe that these public documents contain requirements that will preserve and enhance the Quality of Life for the citizens of Logan. We make daily decisions reflective of the vision contained within the "Guiding Documents".
