REUSE PROGRAM

The Household Hazardous Waste facility began its REUSE program March 23, 2009. Until recently, all household hazardous waste that came into the facility were either recycled or incinerated. Any Cache County resident aged 18 years and older can now come down to the facility located at the landfill and take (at no charge) certain unused or partially used household products that have been donated to the facility. Customers picking up products for reuse must fill out a liability waiver. We will be diverting items such as paint, pesticides, motor oil, spa chemicals and other household cleaners, etc. out of the waste stream to be used for the purpose intended instead of being so wasteful. The REUSE shed is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Saturday. Please call our Household Hazardous Waste Facility at (435) 713-6686 for more information.

If you have household hazardous waste that you need to dispose of and think that it might be a good candidate for the REUSE shed, talk to the employees at the scale house and authorize the reuse of the products.

Refrigeration Conservation Logan City also will pick up a second refrigerator or freezer from your home for free! The appliance must be in working condition. Full details can be found on the Refrigeration Conservation page.
