Technical Rescue

Trench RescueTechnical Rescue includes any rescue that involves specialized training or equipment or training. Some examples are high angle rope rescue, water rescue, ice rescue, structural collapse rescue, trench rescue, heavy extrication and heavy lifting technics. These rescues are low frequency, high risk rescues that entail careful training and preparation. Logan is part of the Cache Technical Rescue Team which serves all of Cache Valley. The team trains on all rescue topics but has subject matter experts for each type of rescue.Ice Rescue

 

Cache County Technical Rescue team takes part in the Northern Utah Technical Rescue Response Team. This team unites Technical Rescue teams from fire departments as far South as South Davis North to the Idaho border. Teams from throughout this area can be called on in times of crisis to assist each other. This team has set training standards and trains together regularly.
