Technical Rescue includes any rescue that involves specialized training or equipment or
training.
Some examples are high angle rope rescue, water rescue, ice rescue, structural collapse rescue,
trench rescue, heavy extrication and heavy lifting technics. These rescues are low frequency,
high-risk rescues that entail careful training and preparation. Logan is part of the Cache Technical
Rescue Team which serves all of Cache Valley. The team trains on all rescue topics but has
subject matter experts for each type of rescue.
