A great deal of care and time goes into training our firefighters and EMS personnel. The training
facility at 100 North 1300 West is the hub of this training. You may have noticed the large tower
near the Logan City Landfill. This tower is used to train firefighters and rescue personnel. In
the tower we train on things like fire ventilation, fire attack, sprinkler systems, standpipes,
rope rescue, victim rescue and much more. The tower may be the most noticeable portion of the
training facility but the is only the begining. We also have props that allow us to train for
vehicle fires, aircraft firefighting and rescue, flashover, confined spaces, structural collapse,
vehicle extrication and much more.
We have recently installed a Polycom web conferencing system that allows both stations to train together yet remain in their areas. This system also allows us to train with other fire departments outside of Cache Valley.
