Community Relations

Logan City Light & Power recognizes the importance of community involvement. We make many efforts to educate and reach out to the community to show that we are a reliable service provider.

We want Cache Valley to know that Logan City Light & Power is here in the community to educate, support, and serve.

Logan City Light & Power participates in various fairs throughout the community. The Cache County Fair, Technology Fair at USU, and School Health Fairs. We display our Hazard Hamlet and have our "PEDAL FOR POWER" bike out for use.

We are involved with Night Out Against Crime held in the Fred Meyer parking lot. We sponsor several sporting events such as Golf Tournaments, USU Athletics as well as Logan High School sports.

Tours of the Hydroelectric and Diesel Plants are given to interested groups. Scout groups are assisted by employees of Logan City Light & Power in obtaining electricity merit badges.

Logan City Light & Power endeavors to reach more customers on a regular basis to inform and educate them about public power and electrical safety. The newsletter, "Powerlines", continues to be sent every three months and is very educational. Our feedback to this newsletter is very strong.

Ads in support of the community and conservation were placed in the Herald Journal and over serveral local radio stations.

Logan City Light & Power is continually striving to be a positive influence in the community through the Community Relations Program. The employees are proud of public power and enjoy spreading the message of the benefits associated with it.
