Logan City Environmental Department would like to remind residents that container repair is a complementary service. If your container is in need of repair, please let us know. We are pleased to announce that Cache County residents can now report broken cans and dumpsters online.
You will need the container number in order to fill out the form completely. When obtaining a container number, please include all numbers and letters on your container as this helps us to identify parts that we may need to service your container. Fill out this form for residential cans. Fill out this form for commercial dumpsters.
Once the form has been submitted, your container should be left in an accessible location (in the front yard, but not on the street) until your container has been repaired or traded. Residents can use their containers as normal during this time. Service should be completed within two weeks of submitting the online service request. For questions about container repair or this service, please call our office at (435) 716-9755.
The Logan City Environmental Department is pleased to announce the beginning of the 2014 green waste drop site and curbside green waste collection season.
Community green waste drop site containers were delivered on Monday March 17th. We ask that you please not overfill the green waste drop site containers or leave materials on the ground outside of the containers.
Curbside green waste collection (green can) will begin weekly collection on Monday March 24th. Please do not overfill your cans or place materials on the ground outside of your can. To sign up to have a green can at your home for an extra $4 a month, please call our office at (435) 716-9755.
We would like to remind residents that green waste cans and bins are designed for green waste materials only, including: grass, leaves, small branches, and general yard waste less than 4' in length. No garbage, rocks, dirt or pet waste is allowed.
As a reminder, green waste can be taken to the Logan City Green Waste Facility (1450 N 1000 W) year round for no charge. For questions concerning either of these services, please see call our office at (435) 716-9755.
The class will be held at the Logan City Environmental Department Classroom, 153 N 1400 W Building A in Logan. This class is limited to 50 people. To reserve your spot, please contact Joe Archer at (435) 716-9749.
Most households have a Compact Florescent Light bulb (sometimes called a "curly light bulb" or a CFL). Most CFLs contain less than 3.5 mg of mercury (and some are as low as .8mg).
To dispose of CFLs properly, you can bring your bulbs to the Logan City Household Hazardous Waste facility for FREE (if you are a residential customer). Simply bring it to our facility located at 1400 W 200 N in Logan. You can also check with home improvement stores within Cache County to determine if they have a CFL recycling program. Please call (435) 716-9755 with questions.

After that time, recycling will resume an every other week collection schedule.
Please keep in mind that bows, ribbons, packing peanuts, bubble mailers, batteries, boxes with plastic windows (please remove the plastic before recycling), foil or metallic materials, old electronics, photo paper, holiday lights, plastic grocery bags, and Styrofoam should NOT be recycled in your blue can.
