Logan City Community Solar

Logan City owns and operates a community solar PV array.  Logan City Light and Power customers can purchase power from this array using our solar rate!  Please see below for more information about the solar rate and to see how it compares to our regular power rates.

****YOU MUST BE A LOGAN CITY RESIDENT AND BE BILLED BY LOGAN CITY TO BE ELIGIBLE****

When you sign up for the Solar Rate you will purchase one, 100 kWh share of output from Logan City's Community Solar Farm if there are shares available.  If shares are not currently available, customers will be placed on a waiting list.  The solar share is the first 100 kWh that you use. It will be billed at 12 cents per kWh. This portion of your rate will be locked at 12 cents until July 1, 2035. If there are not shares available, you will be placed on a first-come, first-served list for future expansion or when someone no longer wants the Solar Rate.

What your current rate looks like:
Residential Rate Schedule 1 (the existing residential rate)
$0.0900 per kWh for the first 400 kWh
$0.1050 per kWh for the next 600 kWh
$0.1171 per kWh for all additional kWh

What this will look like if you sign up and are awarded a Solar Rate Share:
Solar Residential Rate Schedule 1A (the new one)
$0.1200 per kWh for the first 100 kWh (this portion of the rate is locked in until July 1, 2035)
$0.1050 per kWh for the next 300 kWh
$0.1171 per kWh for the next 600 kWh
