Bonneville Shoreline Trail - Logan Canyon Gateway

(Proposed)

Trail Access: Ray Hugie Hydo Park (US 89 & Canyon Road)

Trail Description: 10 foot wide, gravel trail up Logan Canyon.

Trail Length: Approximately 2.0 miles

Trail History: The Logan Canyon Gateway Trail Project is comprised of existing trail that originates at Mile Marker # 463 in the Logan Canyon and ends at Third Dam approximately 3.7 miles in the Logan Canyon along the Logan River.  This section of trail is commonly referred to the River Trail.  The Logan Canyon Gateway Trail adds to the existing “River Trail” by connecting from the north portal of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail tunnel at the entrance of First Dam/Canyon Entrance Park and is planned to run on the north side of the Logan River from Ray Hugie Hydro Park to the trailhead of the “River Trail” located at Mile Post # 463.  The connection between the north side of the Logan River and the River Trail trailhead involves passing under U.S. Highway 89 at approximately Mile Marker #463 and crossing the Logan River before connecting to the River Trail.
