The Logan Youth City Council consists of a highly energetic group of high school students wanting to make a difference in their community. Youth council members develop their own guidelines and charter plan, and implement their own activities. Since forming in December of 1996, the Youth Council has been involved with several activities such as Youth Forums, Leadership Conferences, countless service projects, City Council presentations, fund raising events, and leadership conference presentations.
The Logan Youth City Council (LYCC) focuses on four major areas: 1-Youth leadership development. 2-Local government experience. 3-Increased communication between youth and adults. 4-Opportunity to contribute and benefit from the community.
If you are interested in becoming a part of the Logan Youth city Council, please contact Advisor, Tara Alder, (435) 716-9249. Meetings are held the 1st & 3rd Monday at 6 pm in the Logan City Council Chambers. Everyone is welcome to attend Youth Council meetings.
