Dean has been involved in civic activities in the Logan Community for the past 20 years in influencing zoning and building activities in the northwest part of Logan, his public service actives have grown incrementally,
He was a founding member of the Cache Community Connections organization that formed after 9/11. The organization consists of local religious and civic leaders involved in building unity in the community. Through his involvement, he became a board member for the Multicultural Center of Cache Valley, the clean Air Committee and a board member of the Cache Valley Transit District.
For the past 2 years he has been a neighborhood representative for the Bridger School area. For the past 3 years he has been the Chair of the Concert and Lecture Series Committee for the Logan Tabernacle. This committee sponsors some 88 community-building events in the Tabernacle with about 50,000 people attending throughout the year.
In June of this year he was selected by the Logan City Municipal Council to complete the term of a member who resigned. He’s had the opportunity to serve his country, his religion and now this is a window of opportunity to be of service to his community.
