I was born and raised in Logan. My wife Norma and I have seven children. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University and received my law degree from the University of Utah. I am a partner in a law firm focusing on personal injury, criminal defense, and municipal law since 1980. I am a member of the Utah State Bar and the Navajo Nation Bar. I served a mission to the Navajo Indians in the late 1960's, learned Navajo, and have served on the DNA (Navajo Legal Services) Board of Directors for over 20 years. I have served on various boards of directors in the community such as CAPSA, the Northern Utah American Cancer Society, the Northern Utah Victim's Rights Committee, the Cache Chamber of Commerce, and the Logan Library. I am a Handball Instructor at USU where I enjoy the associations with the students. I have served in many capacities for the LDS church.
