Green Waste Facility
The Green Waste Facility is operated by the Logan Landfill and has been in operation since 1994. Over the years we have grown and expanded both our composting facilities and the range of products we offer for sale. All materials deposited at the green waste facility are turned into products for sale to the public or used in our biosolids composting process.Products from curbside green waste collection come to this facility. It is also open for the public to use as a drop site. Acceptable green waste materials can be disposed of for FREE.
All loads entering and exiting the Green Waste Facility must be CLEAN material (meaning free of contamination or general garbage). Additionally, all loads entering and exiting the Green Waste Facility must be covered or secured. There is a $10.00 fee charged for all uncovered loads. Tarps (6'x8') are available for sale at the Scalehouse for $4.00 for anyone who forgets to bring a tarp to cover their material. You can bring bagged materials into the green waste area, but we ask that you empty the bags as you dispose of the material.

Materials Not Accepted in the Green Waste Facility:
- Rocks
- Gravel
- Dirt
- Sod
- Tree Root Balls
- Painted or Treated Wood
- Anything over 6 ft. in length or 36 inches in diameter
- Glass
- Garbage
