Mosquito Abatement at Home
Logan City Environmental Department would like to remind the public that standing water is prime breeding ground for mosquitoes. The most important step residents can take to help fight mosquito populations is to remove standing water in yards and neighborhoods. Common sources of standing water are bird baths, pet dishes, flower pot drip trays, ponds, tires, rain gutters, wheelbarrows, wading pools, puddles and ditches, and unused swimming pools. It is important to either change the water in these items frequently or prevent them from collecting water in the first place. Please do your part to help us control the mosquito population. If we can help, please contact us.  Feel free to download this poster as a reminder to remove standing water from your property.

Spray Notification & No Spray List
Logan City maintains a spray notification list for those that would like to be notified when we are in the area as well as a no-spray list. Residents will need to sign up each April to remain on the list.  This is the link to submit information to be notified via email of our spraying schedule.  You can access that form by clicking on this link.

If you have questions about spray notification and the no spray list, please call 435-716-9749 or email Rex Davis.

Control Methods
This year Logan City will use the adulticide Zenivex and will spray when adult mosquito counts are high and weather conditions permit.  The larvicide that we use is called Altosid.
