MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION
NOTICE OF EARLY VOTING
Please be advised that in compliance with UCA 20A-3a-604, the City of Logan will hold early voting for the September 5, 2023 Primary Election at the following location. This notice is published on the Logan City website at www.loganutah.org and more information can be found on the Statewide Electronic Voter Information Website https://vote.utah.gov/.
Early Voting will be held at the:
CACHE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, MULTIPURPOSE ROOM #109, LOGAN, UTAH
*Tuesday, August 29 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Wednesday, August 30 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Thursday, August 31 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Friday, September 1 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
VALID VOTER IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.

2023 NOTICE OF ELECTION
2023 NOTICE OF ELECTION, CITY OF LOGAN, UTAH
The City of Logan will hold its municipal election this fall to elect three council members. The Primary Election date is Tuesday, August 15, 2023 and the General Election Date is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Logan elections are non-partisan.
Municipal council members serve four-year terms and are elected at-large.
The incumbents are:
Council Seat - Mark A. Anderson
Council Seat - Tom Jensen
Council Seat - Jeannie F. Simmonds
Anyone interested in filing for one of these offices must:
* Be a U.S. citizen at the time of filing
* Be a registered voter of Logan City
* Be at least 18 years old
* Be a resident of Logan City for at least 365 consecutive days immediately preceeding the date of election (November 7, 2023)
* Not be a convicted felon
Persons interested in becoming a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the Logan City Recorder, 290 North 100 West, Logan, Utah, during regular office hours and not later than 5:00 p.m. from June 1, 2023 through June 7, 2023. The filing forms are available at the City Recorder's Office. There is no filing fee.
Those elected to fill the open positions will be sworn in and will take office on January 2, 2024.

Please be sure you are registered to vote! If you have changed your name or address, even within the City, it is necessary to re-register.
To register to vote in Utah you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Have resided in Utah at least 30 days immediately before the next election
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the next election

Vote-By-Mail Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will I receive my ballot?
Ballots are mailed no sooner than 21 days and no later than 14 days before an
election. Ballots cannot and will not be forwarded by the postal service.
Q: What if I lose (or never receive) my ballot?
If you have not received your ballot within two weeks after they are mailed, call
the Cache County Clerk's Office 435-755-1460. Your voter registration will be checked to ensure that the information is correct. If the address is correct, a replacement ballot will be sent. If your information has changed, your registration will need to be updated and a new ballot will be sent.
Q: Can I pick up a ballot for a neighbor, child or parent?
No. Ballots must be mailed to a registered voter’s residential or mailing address.
We cannot give or mail ballots to anyone other than the voter.
Q: When must my ballot be returned?
Ballots must be mailed and clearly postmarked before the Primary Election Day (Monday,
August 14, 2023) or the General Election Day (Monday, November 6) of they can be placed in the ballot boxes at the Cache County Administration Building (West side of building) 179 North Main anytime day or night or the Logan City Hall building (inside only) 290 North 100 West) 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Election Day.
Q: What if I make a mistake marking my ballot?
If you make a mistake marking your ballot, cross through the incorrect box and
name. Fill in the correct box; circle both the box and name of the correct choice.
Make your intent clear. Do not sign or initial your error.
Q: Can two ballots be returned in the same envelope?
No. There should only be one ballot in each envelope. We must have an affidavit
for each ballot.
Q: Why do I need to sign the ballot affidavit on the envelope?
This confirms the voter’s identity. The signature on the affidavit is compared to
your signature on your voter registration form.
Q: What if my signature has changed?
Complete a new voter registration form and submit it to the Cache County Clerk’s
Office.
Q: What if I forgot to sign the affidavit on the envelope before I sealed it?
If you are not sure whether you signed your affidavit, sign the outside of the
envelope.
Q: What if I signed another voter’s affidavit?
Cross off the wrong signature and sign the correct affidavit. If the envelope has
already been sealed, you may sign the outside of the envelope.
