Holly Daines
Holly Hubbard Daines grew up in Cache Valley, graduated from Utah State University and received a graduate degree in Arts Administration from the University of Utah. She worked for arts organizations in Salt Lake and New York City, returning to Logan with her husband Peter in 1989.
Holly served as Founding Trustee, Chairman of the Board and Interim Director of the Capitol Arts Alliance and Ellen Eccles Theatre during the renovation and initial operation of the theatre. She started the family series and school performances in the theater.
As co-chair of the Cliffside Park Committee, she worked with Logan City and the Municipal Council to acquire additional park land and involve neighborhood representatives in designing the 23 acre park. She also served two years on Logan’s Community Development Block Grant committee.
Holly worked as a consultant for Utah State University’s College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences in marketing and special events and also as a volunteer on the Dean’s Advancement Council.
She volunteered extensively with local schools, her favorite activity being teacher appreciation at Logan High, Mt. Logan Middle School and Edith Bowen Elementary as her three children have attended school.
