COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
The Community Development Department is comprised of several different divisions, each charged with their own unique set of responsibilities, including Administration, Building, Neighborhood Improvement, and Planning & Zoning.
The Building Division ensures that through the application of the International Building Codes, all structures are constructed in a safe manner that affords the protection of lives and the preservation of investments.
The Neighborhood Improvement Division is responsible for fostering neighborhood pride and helping residents solve matters affecting where they live. Business Licensing, which is within Neighborhood Improvement, is responsible for regulating and licensing all types of businesses to ensure compliance with the minimum operating standards contained in the Logan Municipal Code.
The Planning and Zoning Division promotes the orderly growth and development of the community through the execution of the General Plan, the Land Development Code, and other supporting plans and regulatory documents.
The Administration Division oversees all the administrative functions of this department and is responsible for promoting a high level of customer service throughout each of the different divisions.

Our mission is to fulfill the purposes specified in the "Guiding Documents" We believe that these documents preserve and enhance the Quality of Life for the citizens of Logan. We make daily decisions reflective of the vision contained within the "Guiding Documents."
