Shelley Peterson

9-1-1 Director Shelley Peterson

Shelley Peterson was born at an Army hospital in Fort Huachuca, Arizona and was raised here in Logan. She attended Logan City schools and graduated from Logan High in 1992.

Shelley began her career in 911 Communications in Logan in 1994. Since that time she has worked as a dispatcher, training officer, shift coordinator and 911 Supervisor.

Throughout her career Shelley has taken an active role to ensure the highest level of professional emergency and non-emergency dispatching services are provided to the citizens and Public Safety professionals in Cache County.  Since 2014 she has served on various state committees where she promotes industry efforts and legislative issues affecting current and future 911 operations.

After graduating from Logan High School, Shelley earned an Associate’s Degree from Utah State University and holds numerous professional certifications related to 911 operations. She and her husband Jake have four children and live in the Avon area.
